4 Fun June Craft Ideas

1. Sunshine Suncatchers

Make bright suncatchers using clear contact paper, tissue paper, and cardstock. Kids can cut out sun shapes and layer bits of tissue inside to create colorful effects. Hang them in a sunny window to let the light shine through and brighten the room.

2. Paper Plate Bee Craft

Transform simple paper plates into bumblebees using yellow and black paint, construction paper, and pipe cleaners. Add googly eyes and wings made from wax paper or coffee filters. This craft is great for teaching kids about insects and summer pollinators.

3. Flower Pot Painting

Let kids paint small terracotta pots with summer colors, patterns, or even their names. Once the paint dries, they can plant flowers, herbs, or small succulents inside. It’s a creative and hands-on way to explore gardening and design.

4. Firefly Lantern Jars

Turn mason jars into glowing firefly lanterns using battery-operated tea lights and black paper for wings and eyes. Kids can decorate the jars with tissue paper or paint to give them a soft, colorful glow. These lanterns are perfect for summer evenings or camping-themed activities.
