4 Fun Dinosaur Spring Craft Ideas
1. Dinosaur Egg Planters
Celebrate spring and dinosaurs with a fun dinosaur egg planter craft! Start by cutting the top off a plastic or papier-mâché egg to create an opening.
Paint the egg in bright spring colors or speckled designs to look like a real dino egg. Once dry, fill it with soil and plant small spring flowers like daisies or pansies.
You can also add tiny toy dinosaurs peeking out from the eggs for a prehistoric touch. These make adorable decorations for a windowsill or garden!
2. Dino Footprint Stepping Stones
Create personalized dinosaur footprint stepping stones to decorate your garden or backyard. Mix quick-dry cement and pour it into a shallow mold or tray.
While it’s still wet, press a dinosaur figurine’s feet into the cement to make fossil-like prints. You can also use cookie cutters shaped like dino footprints.
Once dry, paint the prints in spring colors like green, yellow, and pink to give them a seasonal look. These stepping stones add a fun prehistoric touch to any outdoor space!
3. Dinosaur & Butterfly Collage
Cut out dinosaur shapes from construction paper or print dinosaur coloring pages and color them in bright spring shades.
Then, use tissue paper or colored paper to create butterflies, flowers, and bees. Glue everything onto a large piece of poster board or cardstock to make a lively springtime dinosaur scene.
You can even add cotton ball clouds and glittery accents for extra fun!
4. Spring Dino Mask
Turn a paper plate into a fun dinosaur mask with a spring twist! Cut the plate into a dinosaur face shape (T-Rex, Triceratops, or Brachiosaurus).
Use green, yellow, or pastel paints to decorate the face, then glue on paper flowers, leaves, or small butterflies to give it a fresh springtime look.
Attach a popsicle stick to the bottom or punch holes on the sides to tie string so kids can wear their roaring, spring-inspired dino masks for pretend play!
