Fun Dinosaur Easter Craft Ideas
1. Dinosaur Egg Surprise Hunt
Make your own craft Easter eggs and hide tiny toy dinosaurs or dino-themed stickers inside. Decorate the outside of the eggs with dino footprints, scales, or little spikes using markers and foam stickers.
Hide them around the yard or house for a roaring-good Easter egg hunt that’s both fun and full of prehistoric surprises!
2. Hatch-a-Dino Paper Plate Craft
Turn a paper plate into a hatching dinosaur egg! Cut one plate in half in a zigzag shape to resemble a cracked egg. Paint or decorate the plate halves with spots or pastel colors.
Then glue a dinosaur head and paws (cut from paper or printed templates) behind the egg to look like it’s peeking out. Add googly eyes for extra fun!
3. Dino Tail Bunny Ears Headband
Why choose between dinosaurs and bunnies? Make a headband with bunny ears and a dino tail!
Use a strip of cardstock or construction paper to fit around the head, then glue on bunny ears up top and a paper dinosaur tail on the back. Decorate with pastel colors, glitter, or dino patterns for a fun mix of Easter and Jurassic flair.
4. Dinosaur Footprint Egg Stamps
Cut out large dino footprint shapes from sponges or cardboard, dip them in paint, and stamp them across paper or tote bags.
Then, use smaller stamps or fingerprints to “hide” Easter eggs along the dino trail. This makes a great art project that combines sensory fun with a cute storytelling twist!
5. Build a Dino Nest Centerpiece
Gather natural materials like grass, shredded paper, or raffia and build a cozy dino nest in a small basket or paper bowl. Add in plastic eggs or ones you’ve decorated, and tuck in mini dinosaur toys peeking out of the nest.
It makes an adorable spring centerpiece and doubles as a surprise toy holder for Easter morning.
