A saltwater crocodile holds the record for the most powerful bite force of any living creature – measuring 3,700 pounds per square inch (PSI).

3. They Swallow Rocks on Purpose
Crocodiles and alligators sometimes swallow small stones, known as gastroliths, to help with digestion and balance their bodies in the water.
These “stomach stones” act like natural weights, helping them sink when they want to stay underwater.
4. They Communicate Before They Hatch
Baby crocodiles and alligators start communicating with their mother while still inside the egg!
They make high-pitched sounds to signal that they are ready to hatch, and the mother will help dig them out of the nest.
